Part Machining / Mould
English

This humanoid robot shell is entirely manufactured via industrial-grade 3D printing technology, perfectly resolving the challenges of complex curved surfaces and integral forming that traditional machining cannot achieve. Every design detail—from the streamlined head helmet and sunglass-style face shield to the waist-segmented torso and high-heel-shaped feet—is integrally formed in one go through additive manufacturing without split multi-part processing, drastically reducing assembly risks caused by stitching gaps and dimensional tolerances.
We adopt high-strength photosensitive resin and engineering-grade nylon materials to balance structural rigidity and detailed surface definition of the shell. Design intentions are precisely reproduced across earphone-shaped side structures, movable hand joint positions and curved parting lines, delivering high-quality blanks for subsequent surface finishing and enabling rapid realization of the "design-as-manufactured" concept.

3D printed workpieces only serve as the base carrier of robot shells; professional post-processing is the core step to achieve mass-production-level texture. Our standardized workflow consists of multiple procedures: First, fine sanding removes layer lines and support marks, with secondary calibration performed on critical assembly positions such as joints and screw holes to guarantee smooth rotation of movable joints and seamless structural fitting. Professional painting processes are then applied to create a high-gloss lake blue finish for the main body and silver metallic texture on the waist. Multi-layer coating and polishing deliver mirror-level glossiness. Finally, color separation is applied to intricate details including the face and lips, endowing the shell with a blend of mechanical industrial aesthetics and artistic expression.
This complete process elevates 3D printed parts beyond mere prototypes to finished products suitable for exhibition displays and commercial deployment.

Compared with traditional injection molding that requires mold opening, 3D printing boasts distinct strengths in humanoid robot shell development: No costly mold investment is required; finished shells can be delivered within weeks at minimum from design files, greatly shortening product development cycles. Orders starting from a single unit are accepted, catering to diverse scenarios such as exhibition prototypes, customized IP products and small-batch trial production while eliminating waste from idle molds. Flexible and efficient design iteration supports rapid implementation of shape revisions, color customization and functional hole modifications.
We provide one-stop services covering 3D model optimization, printing production and post-processing, delivering cost-effective and efficient custom shell solutions for robot manufacturers, IP owners and art projects to accelerate creative realization.
